Muttley

When 11 month old Muttley arrived at our sanctuary, he was in a state of panic. Overwhelmed by fear, he needed encouragement from our staff dogs to come out of his kennel. As he approaches his first birthday on Christmas Eve, our hearts ache at the thought of him still being in our kennels.Muttley’s world has been turned upside down. He faces a new environment filled with unfamiliar sounds and faces, leaving him a little uncertain and anxious. This sweet boy had never worn a harness and was just getting used to a lead when he first arrived. It feels as though he’s starting from scratch, relearning the basics like a 12 week old puppy.Muttley is currently in training for loose lead walking and has successfully learned that the harness is nothing to fear! We’ve achieved our goal of getting him comfortable wearing it, and we are so proud of him.
