Ollie

Ollie is a sweet, affectionate young boy who absolutely adores cuddles and being close to his humans. His family have had to make the very difficult decision to rehome him because he hasn’t been able to settle alongside the resident cat. He currently lives with another male dachshund and genuinely tries to get along, but the older dog has struggled with sharing attention and was previously happiest as an only dog. This tension has unfortunately led to both dogs toileting indoors, which has been stressful for everyone. With this in mind, we feel Ollie would truly thrive in a home with a calm, neutered female dog who can offer companionship without competition. Ollie loves his walks and, while he may bark at other dogs initially, he settles quickly once he feels reassured. At home, he currently sleeps in bed with his owner, but he’s also content being left in the kitchen in his own bed for up to four hours.
