Omiara’s journey began in heartbreaking circumstances. She was one of several dogs rescued from a home that had become unmanageable for its elderly owner, who was struggling with mental health difficulties. Though never intentionally mistreated, the dogs went without the proper care they so desperately needed. When Omiara arrived with us, she was in extremely poor condition, underweight, with infected ears, and in urgent need of dental care, which resulted in the removal of 21 teeth. Despite this difficult start, Omiara has shown incredible resilience, and she is now safe, healthy, and learning what love and stability truly mean.This gentle girl has a soft, sweet nature and a quiet bravery that continues to shine more each day. Though she was initially timid and would often retreat from new people, she has made remarkable progress with patience and reassurance.
