Ottawa, affectionately known as Ottie, originally came to us as part of a large rescue from a home where her elderly owner, struggling with mental health challenges, could no longer provide her the care she deserved. She was briefly adopted but sadly returned after just a day, as she was bigger than expected and a little too enthusiastic in her attempts to soak up attention. Ottie is a big, loving girl who simply wants to be close to her people, and she deserves a home that understands large breeds and appreciates that this beautiful lady just wants to be your very best friend.Ottie has now been with us for around five months and she truly is a giant, floofy superstar. She has settled beautifully into her foster home, gaining weight and confidence, and has jumped right back into routine. Her calm, friendly nature continues to blossom, and she has plenty of energy to enjoy her walks, explore new places, and meet as many new friends—both human and canine—as possible along the way.
