Are you right for Pocus?Pocus is a 1-year-old Alaskan Malamute cross puppy (born 22/08/24) looking for an experienced with older teens of 14 plus, a home that understands the needs of large, strong dogs. He’s a perfect houseguest—calm, extremely friendly, and well-behaved indoors. However, outdoors on walks, he can be very strong on the lead especially when he sees other dogs and would need owners that can physically manage him. This is now much more manageable as he’s trained to wear a halti but owners must be prepared to continue to help him with lead walking. Pocus would do best in a home with plenty of space—a large garden or access to open areas where he can safely run and play. He can be wary of loud noises and large vehicles like lorries while out on walks but is relaxed and comfortable at home.
