, however he couldn’t stay there permanently and sadly ended up in a rescue where he was put in a kennel with another uncastrated boy and an unneutered girl which meant there was lots of fights and he had been bitten many times. Our partners found him very thin, with wounds and sore eyes. Since then he moved to a foster home in Spain with a much calmer environment where he really blossomed both in health and personality. He put on weight, his wounds healed and his spirit slowly started to return. He’s now moved to a foster home in the UK with another dog where he is continuing to progress and has made such a big transition in the month he has been here. Like many podencos, he is a little aloof at first, but does warm up and soon learns to trust. Once you have gained that, he gets very excited for you to put his harness on ready to go for a walk and he loves to hold hands/paws with you and enjoy a fuss.
