“On Tuesday we were given an entire male GSD, he looks to be around 4-5 years old and is a big boy. I think it’s going to be a bit of a big ask one really so please let me know if he will be too much of a challenge/ too difficult to rehome. He was found by a lady and he was very barky towards her and did nip her, causing no injury but a small graze. She was hesitant to let us get too close to begin with, but he was find when approached by kennel staff (all female). Since being with us, we have started to do small amounts of work to try and build up his confidence and get him more familiar with us. The dog warden came (male) to meet him and he was initially a bit growly but the kennel staff took him out for a walk and after walking around Rex was fine and happy in his presence. When trying to scan him for a microchip, he wasn’t happy with the dog warden and did lunge for him twice but continued walking with no more reactions when told to ‘come on then’ with a small jerk from the kennel ...
