I may have had a very tough start to my life, but I refuse to let my past define me! The wonderful team at Millbrook have been helping me learn how to trust again, and I have made massive strides. I am a brave, resilient boy who only has three legs, but that doesn't slow me down! I am just looking for a special family to help me write my next, best chapter.Once I know you and trust you, I am an absolute lovebug! My love is full-on—I’m talking enthusiastic greetings, big energy, and total devotion. Because I can be a bit bouncy when I'm expressing my affection, I need a home with older, dog-savvy teenage children who can handle my joyful outbursts.I can still be a little wary of new people when we are out and about around the centre. Because of this, I am looking for patient adopters who have experience with nervous dogs and are excited to continue working on my confidence and training. Trust me, the reward of winning my heart is entirely worth it!The Only Pet: I am a social guy and enjoy meeting other dogs out on walks, but my play style is very "full-on." I would be happiest as the only pet in the home, but I'd love a solid circle of walking doggy friends!Exercise Needs: Having three legs means I need to manage my fitness carefully. I will need a family who can help me build up to more frequent exercise gradually, making sure I don't push myself too far. I may also need a ramp at home and for the car.Patient & Experienced Hands: My perfect match will understand body language, know how to manage a sensitive dog in public, and be willing to give me the time and space I need to settle in.Arnold with need his own private and secure garden where he can enjoy offlead play. He will also need a refresher on house training and car travel.Arnold has overcome so much adversity and has so much love to give. If you have the experience and the heart to help this resilient boy thrive, he will repay you tenfold with a lifetime of loyalty.

This is Bear’s original write up:“Pearl was picked up as a stray in December and was heavily pregnant. No microchip and nobody to claim her, so we were asked if we could help. Pearl is quite nervous when meeting new people and we suspect she has had a good hiding at some stage, but once she realises you mean her no harm, she is a sweetheart. She likes her space from other dogs but no issues with them at all. Has totally ignored the horses in the field next door as well. On the 22nd December Pearl gave birth to 11 puppies, 4 boys and 7 girls. Sadly one little girl was not breathing and despite getting her started and suckling, she passed over Rainbow Bridge just over 24 hours later.Pearl is a GSD but not knowing what dad was we did a DNA sample on one of the girls which came back as: 56% GSD, 29% Belgian Mali, 7% Border Collie, and 6% Greyhound. The pups are all confident and tear around the place causing bedlam as you would expect. They do all like a snuggle though as well. The pups will need homes that have some experience of the main breed at least as they will need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation as they get older. “Bear came back at 11 months old quite simply the person who adopted him failed to give him the training, socialisation and boundaries he needed, so whereas all the other pups are super with people and other dogs, Bear still mouths, still jumps up, reacts to anything that moves when out on lead….To say he has been let down is an understatement. Did his adopter take him regularly to training like she said she would? No! Did she contact anyone to say she was having issues? No! The first we know about it is when he is snapping at the children when they take things off him and suddenly he has to go immediately otherwise she has booked an appointment at the vets to murder him because a volunteer said it may take a couple of weeks to find him somewhere. We don’t always get the homes right and most certainly did not in this case, but Bear is now safely back where he was born and settled straight back in. He will learn some of the manners he missed out on from the older dogs but there is no malice in this gorgeous lad, purely he is behaving as a young male pup would not having been given the proper direction.Bear definitely deserves a special home now please!

Billy is a sweet natured, fun loving, energetic, gorgeous looking boy. He relaxes indoors and in the garden and is very well behaved. Outside his recall is great and can walk well on the lead, but he is very energetic and needs an adult only home with someone or a couple who want to spend time doing various activities with this very intelligent boy. He learns everything so fast but will need confident handlers. He can be very sociable and loves to play with other dogs once he knows them, We will offer full training and support for Billy. on Billy. Hi there, my names Biscoff and I'm a real cheeky chap! I can get a little scared of quick hand movements but soon come out of my shell. I'm very nosey and get involved in eveything going on around me. If you love Terriers then your sure to love me! I also had a very bad start in life and need gentle introductions to new people, especially men.I'm looking for an active adult experienced terrier home where there is always lots going on, I need to stay on a long line because I love to go off investigating, once my super nose picks up a scent I'm off! A semi rural home would be best for me, as like my friend Buddy I do get scared by loud noises and traffic. I am super affectionate, love lots of cuddles and fuss and will make you laugh daily with my antics! My favourite trick is to distract you with some mischief and then slurp your cuppa! I will need a lovely secure garden with at least a 6ft fence with gravel boards. If you think im lovely complete a rehoming form.

Hugo and Bonnie are currently in one of our foster homes. Hugo doesn't know he is 10 years old and is a lively boy. Bonnie has a quieter nature. Both dogs are crate trained and prefer to sleep together in their crate. They are getting long walks with their fosterer and this will need to be continued in a forever home. They know basic commands and are good in the house.

Hello, my name is Buddy B and I have had a rather sad start in life which has left me extremely anxious in new situations and around new people, especially men. Once I know you I am the most loveable boy and would really like a lady owner I could share the sofa with for cuddles.I've been at HQ for several years now and my confidence has grown but I a still very wary of men. I enjoy the company of other dogs and could live with another well matched companion. My favourite hobby is sitting with you for cuddles and I'm more than happy to snuggle up on the sofa. All true terrier lovers will be smitten with me, my antics will make you smile! I currently have a strict routine and this has helped with my separation anxiety and I'm happy to chill in bed with a chew and I enjoy a good snooze in the morning and afternoon.I am very noise phobic, so would suit a very calm and quiet home in a semi rural area as I would not cope with a busy suburban park with lots of people. I love a good country walk and am used to a long line and will not be one that can be let off initially as I might get spooked, so need a secure field for any off lead running. I'm still a work in progress and any transition to a new home will need to be done gradually, please give me a chance, I have waited so long for the right mum to come along. I have glaucoma in one eye which is stable with my eye drops and I have to go for quarterly check ups. I'm very at the vets and having my daily drops. If you would like to give me a home please complete a rehoming form.

Al Mayya K9 Adoptions is dedicated to giving rescued dogs a secure and loving forever home. The organisation saves dogs from streets, wastelands, puppy farms and cages, welcoming them into foster care while searching for carefully matched adopters. Dogs are available to meet in Surrey, with rehoming carried out across the UK. Driven by compassion and commitment, Al Mayya K9 Adoptions works to ensure every dog has the chance to find safety, stability and a lifelong companion.

Boxer Rescue Service (Southern) is a registered charity established in the early 1970s to rescue and rehome unwanted Boxer dogs. Covering Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and Kent, the organisation operates independently from breed clubs and other rescues. Entirely volunteer-run, it relies on donations, fundraising and membership fees to cover kennelling, veterinary and transport costs. Dedicated to giving Boxers a second chance, the team also welcomes new volunteers who wish to support its ongoing work.

Epsom Canine Rescue was founded in 1992 and became a registered charity in 1995, focusing on the rescue and rehoming of unwanted, neglected and stray dogs. Operating across Surrey, Sussex and Kent, the charity carries out its own thorough home checks and follow-up visits to ensure each dog is placed in the most suitable environment. Veterinary treatment is provided where necessary, and adopters are supported with lifetime backup and behavioural guidance. With a hands-on, dog-centred approach, Epsom Canine Rescue is committed to achieving safe and lasting placements for every dog in its care.

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was established to support unwanted, abandoned, and neglected German Shepherds, while also educating the public about the responsibilities of owning large working-breed dogs. The charity focuses not only on rescue and rehoming, but on prevention—offering advice and guidance to help reduce the number of dogs entering rescue in the future. GSRE works tirelessly to ensure dogs are microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered, with dedicated follow-up support where needed. Supported by a passionate volunteer network, the charity also assists Belgian Shepherd Malinois and Dutch Shepherds, breeds whose complex needs are often misunderstood. As a full member of the Association of Dogs and Cats Homes (ADCH) and the EU Dog and Cat Alliance, GSRE is committed to collaboration and the highest standards of animal welfare.

Labrador Retriever Rescue Southern England is a volunteer-run, breed-specific rescue charity dedicated to rehoming purebred Labrador Retrievers and Labrador crosses across Southern England. Operating independently and without a central rescue centre, the charity relies on foster homes, kennelling, and veterinary support funded entirely through donations and fundraising. In the past year alone, the team has taken in and successfully rehomed over 450 Labradors, despite increasing demand for rescue places. Supported by a network of foster carers and experienced trustees with decades of rescue knowledge, the charity focuses on careful assessment and responsible matching to ensure the best possible outcomes for both dogs and adopters.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), founded in 1824, is the oldest and largest animal welfare organisation in the world, operating across England and Wales. Funded primarily by voluntary donations, the charity rescues animals from cruelty, investigates neglect and organised animal crime, and provides advice to improve animal welfare. Its network includes rescue teams, animal hospitals, rehabilitation centres and over 150 locally run branches that support rehoming, neutering and community welfare services. Through national and international outreach, the RSPCA works to prevent cruelty and ensure animals receive the care and protection they deserve.

Salli Pets is a non-profit that started in 2015 homing a small number of dogs looking for their forever homes.

Strays Without Borders is a UK-registered non-profit dedicated to rescuing and rehoming vulnerable dogs, with a primary focus on those in Macedonia where abandonment, abuse and road accidents are widespread. Working in partnership with trusted local rescues, the organisation ensures dogs receive care, socialisation and rehabilitation before travelling to the UK. Dogs are rehomed nationwide with thorough home checks and ongoing support provided to fosterers and adopters. By fostering or adopting, supporters directly enable the charity to rescue and help even more dogs still waiting for their second chance.
Surrey’s commuter towns and access to countryside mean rescue dogs are often matched with working households and active adopters. Dogs adopted here may be suited to busy routines balanced with structured exercise and companionship. Many Surrey-based rescues focus on careful matching to ensure dogs can cope with time alone and daily schedules. Adopting locally supports long-term success for dogs and owners alike.
