Rex

born 27/03/2021 is a Lurcher, we think greyhound crossed with a bull breed. Rex was very nervous when he arrived with us in February 2024 and it's taken a few weeks to gain his trust. Now he feels safe he's much happier and loves a fuss from people he knows well. He is very sensitive about his feet and doesn't like them being touched (he had extremely long claws when he arrived which must have been sore ). He had to be sedated to have them cut at the vets. We are working on getting him used to gradually allowing us to touch his legs then feet but unfortunately he still doesn't like it. He panics very badly about anything to do with the vets, so we have to give him sedatives before seeing a vet and he wears his muzzle. He happy to have his muzzle put on in exchange for a tasty treat. He a beautiful boy who loves to run in our enclosed compound, he doesn't have any recall so can't go off lead anywhere that's not secure. He is fairly good on his lead if it's quiet but does get over excite...
