Are you right for Rupert Bear? Rupert Bear is a 7-year-old Poodle X Cocker Spaniel who is looking for a patient, understanding adult-only home where he can take life at his own pace. Busy kennel environments can be difficult for Rupert, although when things are quiet he is able to settle himself. When with his handler, Rupert is a very sweet boy who loves exploring and sniffing, particularly in quieter areas with fewer people around. He can find approaching people and other dogs stressful and may bark, so he will need continued positive, reward-based training and confidence building. Once Rupert feels comfortable and has developed a bond with someone, he enjoys gentle fuss and affection and will happily seek out attention on his terms. Rupert would thrive with experienced owners who understand canine body language, will respect his boundaries, and are committed to continuing his positive, reward-based training.
