Andre is a very timid but sweet boy with so much to offer the right home.He came into our care from a multi-dog household and has not had any previous training, so he will need support in all areas, including housetraining. For this reason, Andre is looking for an experienced owner who is confident and patient enough to help him flourish.Andre walks nicely on the lead but he can become nervous around unfamiliar things and may hide behind you for reassurance. Once he feels settled and has built a bond, his affectionate, bouncy and playful side begins to shine through, with a constantly wagging tail.Andre can be nervous around men and may bark at first but with time, patience and gentle reassurance, he should gradually grow in confidence.If his new family already has a dog, Andre would prefer a smaller, calm dog who can help him feel safe and secure.Andre will also require regular grooming to keep his coat in good condition.

Annie is a young, active girl who is just learning how fun the world is. Even after not having the best start to life she is full of energy and loves to explore and adores human company, she will be looking for a family where someone can be around most of the time to start with until she has settled in as she does struggle alone at the moment. Ideally the home would have its own secure garden in case she needs a little time to get used to going out for walks as she hasn’t been used to the outside world. We think she would suit a family with older children as she can get worried by loud noises and quick movements. Annie could share her home with another similar sized dog; she loves to play and has not shown any problems around beds toys or treats but may need to learn that she cannot play constantly. Annie has stolen the hearts of all the staff and volunteers she has met and once shes settled into the home we think she will be so much fun. She has had very little training beforehand so is learning all the basics and this will need continuing in the home as well as refreshing on toilet training so needs a family willing to do this. We feel Annie could also share her home with a cat, as long as scent swaps and an introduction goes ok. If you are after a playful, lively girl and the time to put in to train and socialise her – then look no further!​

Are you right for Barney?Barney is a fabulous eight-year-old Cockapoo looking for a loving home. He could share his home with children as young as eleven. He is looking to be the only dog in the home and have doggy pals to socialise with when out on walks. He has no history around cats, small furries, or livestock. Barney is housetrained. He travels well in the car. He is instantly friendly with new people and would be fine with a reasonably busy household and visitors to the home. Barney is not used to being left alone at home so any time left will need to be built up gradually. Barney is happy to visit the groomers and enjoys having his hair brushed.Is Barney right for you?Barney enjoys playing with toys, his favourites are soft toys, he likes to chase after balls. He enjoys treats and knows a few tricks including a sit, paw, ‘in car’, and he has good recall. Barney is affectionate with the people he knows, he enjoys a fuss and a snuggle. With new people he can be aloof initially, or laid-back, and will initiate a fuss when he is ready. He enjoys going for long walks and his favourite spots are grassy areas and the beach. He does not mind walking with other dogs as long as they know that Barney’s toys are all just for him! He doesn’t like to share his toys with other dogs. In the home, Barney is chilled out and likes to watch the world go by out the window. He enjoys home comforts and takes naps on the sofa or a comfy dog bed.

She will need to live in a multi-person household where someone is around most of the time, as she finds being left alone very stressful and needs consistent companionship to feel settled. A home with a private garden, ideally with a grassy area, is important for her toileting and for providing a quiet retreat if the outside world feels overwhelming. Bella would suit a household with older children aged 14 and above who can respect her sensitive nature, and while she may be able to build friendships with dogs of a similar size and temperament, she would much prefer to be the only pet in the home so she can soak up all the attention! Her new family should be patient and willing to support her with gentle reassurance, particularly with things like harnesses, car journeys, and building her confidence at her own pace.Is Bella right for you?Bella offers an incredibly loving and devoted companionship. She is a deeply affectionate little dog who adores cuddles and close contact, often following her people from room to room and curling up beside them whenever she can. Everything about the world is new to him, so he will need dedicated adopters to teach him everything from scratch and build on his confidence. Due to his worries, he needs to have a quieter home life with minimal visitors to start to help him settle. Bob is looking for a home away from any busy/main roads that produce a lot of noise and would love a home in a quieter residential area. He must have access to a private, secure garden that can provide him a safe space he can use to shake off and have extra space when he needs it. He needs to be the only dog in the home for now, as he has shown some worries about unfamiliar dogs here at the centre, but has the potential to live with one in the future. Due to Bob’s temperament and history, he could live with children aged 14+ who give him the space he needs. He would benefit from a safe space in the home that he can tuck himself away in when overwhelmed, if needed (a crate, quiet space, etc.) He is currently not walking on equipment, and he is looking for a home with adopters who can help him continue to build his confidence with an adopter and handling.Is Bob Marley right for you?Bob Marley is still learning about the world and what it has to offer. He likes to watch his humans from the safety of his kennel but is getting braver by the day - he has certainly found his voice! He enjoys playing with his siblings and absolutely loves his toys. Are you right for Bubble?Meet this adorable pair... Maris and Bubble. Maris is a 4yr old Spaniel Cross and Bubble is a 7 month old miniature poodle on the look out for a special home together. They both had a sheltered life and are looking for a patient and understanding home. Maris and Bubble like to spend the majority of their time together as they gain lots of confidence from each other. They are worried by fast movements and takes time to build a bond with people so an adult only home would be best. They both are initially shy around new people and are not yet comfortable with touch, so they require a family that can patiently build their trust with gentle and kind handling. Maris and Bubble came from a home with lots of other dogs but has struggled meeting new dogs at the centre so is looking for a home where they can be the only pets to give them the best chance at settling into home life without any distractions. Both of them are not ready to explore the wider world yet and may take some time before they are so it is essential they have a private, secure garden to provide them with a safe outdoor space to explore and toilet in.Is Bubble right for you?Coming from a welfare hoarding situation, Maris and Bubble needs a patient owner to help them explore the world at their own pace. They require ongoing support with learning the basics including house training. Both will need someone with them the majority of the time and any leaving hours will need to be built up gradually at a pace they are comfortable with. Maris and Bubble are not accustomed to walks yet, so an enclosed garden will be helpful during their transition. With time and patience, they both can blossom into wonderful family companions.

17-04-26 Carry is a sweet, gentle girl who has come to us from a breeder and is currently very scared, timid, and unsure of humans. She will need plenty of time, patience, and TLC in her new home to help her learn to trust and build a loving bond with her family. Once she gets to know you, she will approach you for a fuss but she isn't comfortable being picked up at the moment as this is very new for her.Carry will be looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home where she can settle in at her own pace. She relies on other dogs for comfort and will need at least one kind and confident resident dog in her new home. A canine companion will provide her with reassurance and help guide her as she learns about home life, giving her someone to lean on as her confidence grows.As Carry has never lived in a home before, her adopters will need to be understanding while she learns the basics, such as house training and walking on a lead. The big wide world may feel overwhelming for her at first, so starting with calm, gentle experiences, like exploring the garden will help her gradually gain confidence.With love, patience, and understanding, Carry has all the potential to blossom into a happy and trusting companion.Our vets have noted that Carry has a Grade 3 patella luxation in her right hind leg, this isn't causing her any issues at the moment and may improve with gentle exercise but it will need to be monitored by her adopters and their vets and should she need any treatment in the future it wouldn't be coverable by insurance.Carry has a travel document.Carry has been given the Gift of Life by Wendy Bowen

18-04-26 Coan is a lovely boy who has come to us from a breeder to find his forever home. When he arrived, he was suffering with a glaucoma and unfortunately did need to have his left eye removed, but he is recovering well and hasn't let this slow him down. He has also had a dental and doesn't have very many teeth remaining.He is a very sweet little man, but he is still a little nervous around people and will need some time and patience to build his confidence. He isn't yet used to being handled, so will need calm, understanding adopters who are happy to let him go at his own pace and not rush him. With time, kindness, and reassurance, he will begin to feel safe and show his true, affectionate nature.Coan relies heavily on his kennel friends for confidence, so he will need at least one other kind and patient resident dog in his new home to help him settle in and learn that the world isn’t so scary.As Coan has never lived in a home before, he will need support with all the basics, including house training and learning to walk on a lead. Cosmo is a Standard Poodle, DOB 06/09/2025. He came to us with his 2 brothers and sister as they were unwanted by the breeder. His sister has already gone to her forever home.Cosmo is a smashing boy and super friendly. He loves to be around people. He is fine with other dogs but we don’t know what he thinks of cats.He has a lovely nature and is a very gentle boy. As a young lad he has a ton of energy and is very lively and fast. He loves to be outside to run around and play. He will calm down once he has had a run around.Because he is still so young he doesn’t know very much yet and will require ongoing training. We can assist with this if you need it.As a Standard Poodle Cosmo will require regular trimming, not to create pom-poms but just to keep his coat nice. (Photos taken before first trim).
