A lovable, low-energy dog with a wrinkled face and calm nature.

Meet Amelie! Our vibrant and full of beans Frenchie X Bulldog!Amelie was brought to us as a stray, found wearing a bark collar without an ID tag, and her microchip provided no owner information. The bark collar was swiftly discarded!Being just a puppy, she is only starting out in life and needed to learn the basics. Amelie is highly intelligent and loves training! She has currently learnt quite a few exercises whilst in our care, including: sit, down, heel, wait, paw, turn & spin. Due to her young age and intelligence, she picks up new tricks super quickly, she is truly astonishing! She adores her toys & playing tug of war is her favourite game! She will make a wonderful addition for anyone looking for a young, energetic dog who is ready to start from scratch.

Romney Poor Angel came to us through no fault of her own. She is a typical Bulldog who doesn't know her own strength sometimes and will barrel into you wanting love and cuddles, due to this she would not be suitable for young children, she can however live with older children. She is good with other dogs and great with people. At the moment she is a bit nervous and scared of being in the kennel so she is a bit shut down at the moment. If you'd like to give Angel a home then please pop into our New Romney branch during our opening hours (Weds-Sun, 11am-3pm).

Lola's Trust
Angus is a gentle, loving soul that gets on well with all other pets such as dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs. He's very lazy and calm, loves children and walks brilliantly on the lead. He would be fine missing a day's walk if you're very busy.

Apollo could live with children 5+. He could live with other dogs and potentially cats and small animals (though we have no history on his behaviours around these animals). Apollo is a fabulous lad and a typical Bulldog who simply oozes personality and character! Apollo is a very friendly chap who can sometimes be a little over familiar…there is no such thing as as stranger to this boy and he greets everyone with the same boisterous enthusiasm and expectations of immediate belly rubs. He loves making friends and is happy to enjoy cuddles and fuss from everyone he meets! Apollo enjoys meeting other dogs and displays the same excitable behaviours as with humans so, if he is to go home with another dog, they will have to be tolerant of his eagerness to play and have fun! Apollo would benefit from an owner with a good understanding of bulldogs and their quirks…their goofy ways and their stubborn silliness! Apollo will bring so much fun and love to the home lucky enough to adopt him, there will certainly never be a dull moment with this lad around! Say hello to Ariel, she is a French Bulldog and is approximately 6-7 years old.She arrived is our care as a stray and unfortunately no owner cane forward for her.We always say “their loss, our gain”. This girl deserves the world.Ariel has a kind temperament and soft nature. She is a lay backed girl and is the perfect house guest. She enjoys a balance of walks and snoozes.Ariel presents well in the presence of other dogs on walks but unfortunately she will be looking for a canine free home.Ariel does like the quiet life and would probably prefer a home with children who are respectful.Areil could also potentially live with felines based on introductions. All introductions will be carried out the centre. We advise that all dogs are enrolled to training classes to help build bonds and adjust to thier new lives with ease.Catching up the soapsCardiff Dogs HomeWestpoint Industrial EstatePenarth RoadCardiffCF11 8JQWe work in partnership with:Support us by making a donation or by donating food and other items. All donations are very gratefully received.© Cardiff Dogs Home 2024 - Website designed by Cardiff Council Web Team

My name is Bandit and I am 7 year old Boxer x Bullmastiff. I found myself on death row in a pound due to being an unclaimed stray.. most likely dumped by my previous owner.I do have elbow dysplasia which is controlled well with medication.I am a big strong boy who thinks he can sit on your lap like a chihuahua! I love a bum scratch and am always perfect patient at the vets.I love to be loved and have lots of love to give my new family!!I have no experience with children and am looking for an adult only home without visiting children.I cannot live with cats or small furries!I get on well with some dogs but not all, and so will need a home as the only dog.I walk well on the lead during my walks but am very strong initially or when excited so will need a fit and strong person to walk me. I can't do marathons but a couple of ½ hour walks a day would suit me well.I am looking for a quiet home with calm adults who enjoy a brindle snuggle buddy!

BEAU - RESERVED About 4 years old, Beau the Bulldog is a real bundle of joy and loves her cuddles. She plays happily with other dogs at the Rescue but is bossy so we think she'd be better living as an only dog. No cats or young children - for some reason, she took against the young child in her previous home and so was returned to us. Once bonded, she will guard so needs an experienced home.See on FacebookADOPT

DOGS: NOCATS: NOCHILDREN: 15+Beautiful and super fussy, loving Belinda came into rescue via the dog warden and council pound in Carlisle after being spotted as a stray for at least 7 days. She arrived with no name and 13kilos in weight after a week of feeding up in the pound! She had a c-section scar and stitches still present (later removed and found to be not done by a vet due to the type of suture material used). She has come on leaps and bounds after expert care in her foster home and is thoroughly unrecognisable now! She has had mammary tumours removed since being in care and has experienced some anxiety issues which can be controlled with Reconcile as and when needed. Despite the appalling treatment by previous "owners", she is the most loving and friendly girl to people. Belinda needs to be the only dog and can be very reactive to them inside and outside of the home. She needs a cat free home too and can live with older teens 15+ and to be rehomed in a similar place to where she is that is quiet, possibly semi rural and not in a dog heavy area. She is mostly house-trained with occasional accidents (again this has been patiently worked on in foster care and she may revert temporarily to her old ways, when she moves). Belinda can be left for up to 5 hours but prefers to be loose in the home and needs a breed experienced home. A super girl with just the worst start in life imaginable - please do not overlook this beautiful soul xx
