Say hello to Ariel, she is a French Bulldog and is approximately 6-7 years old.She arrived is our care as a stray and unfortunately no owner cane forward for her.We always say “their loss, our gain”. This girl deserves the world.Ariel has a kind temperament and soft nature. She is a lay backed girl and is the perfect house guest. She enjoys a balance of walks and snoozes.Ariel presents well in the presence of other dogs on walks but unfortunately she will be looking for a canine free home.Ariel does like the quiet life and would probably prefer a home with children who are respectful.Areil could also potentially live with felines based on introductions. All introductions will be carried out the centre. We advise that all dogs are enrolled to training classes to help build bonds and adjust to thier new lives with ease.Catching up the soapsCardiff Dogs HomeWestpoint Industrial EstatePenarth RoadCardiffCF11 8JQWe work in partnership with:Support us by making a donation or by donating food and other items. All donations are very gratefully received.© Cardiff Dogs Home 2024 - Website designed by Cardiff Council Web Team

My name is Bandit and I am 7 year old Boxer x Bullmastiff. I found myself on death row in a pound due to being an unclaimed stray.. most likely dumped by my previous owner.I do have elbow dysplasia which is controlled well with medication.I am a big strong boy who thinks he can sit on your lap like a chihuahua! I love a bum scratch and am always perfect patient at the vets.I love to be loved and have lots of love to give my new family!!I have no experience with children and am looking for an adult only home without visiting children.I cannot live with cats or small furries!I get on well with some dogs but not all, and so will need a home as the only dog.I walk well on the lead during my walks but am very strong initially or when excited so will need a fit and strong person to walk me. I can't do marathons but a couple of ½ hour walks a day would suit me well.I am looking for a quiet home with calm adults who enjoy a brindle snuggle buddy!

Barbara, a 3 years old female Bulldog available for adoption from Pawprints Dog Rescue in Warwickshire

Barbara

Barbara of course is looking for a forever home but would also benefit from some time out of kennels in a foster home too. Barbara is a gorgeous girl looking for a quiet family that will understand she needs time and patience to get to know you and show off her cheeky side. We don’t have any history on where she came from but with how scared she was on arrival and how long it has taken to build bonds with her we feel she has either had very little human interaction or interaction that hasn’t been very nice. She is shy around handling if she doesn’t know you, but when she starts to trust she does enjoy a fuss. We are continuing to train her, using desensitization to touch and to the harness. She does walk nicely even just on her collar though. Barbara does have some arthritis in her spine and legs, but she is on medication for this which has helped a lot, so will need to be on this long term. We are looking for an adult only home, ideally with people that may have some experience with a nervous dog who have the time to work with Barbara and will be able to come to the rescue multiple times before she comes home to make sure she is comfortable. A secure, quiet garden is also a must as she may need some time to settle into the home before going out for walks. An ideal home would have a separate/safe area for Barbara if unknown visitors came to the house so she can have her own space if she becomes overwhelmed. Barbara has really started to shine with us and she has a happy, playful personality when she shows it. She loves toys and loves to zoom around off-lead, throwing toys in the air as she goes. If you have the space in your heart for a dog that needs some extra work, then we truly feel Barbara is right for you and will be an amazing companion!

DOGS: NOCATS: NOCHILDREN: 15+Beautiful and super fussy, loving Belinda came into rescue via the dog warden and council pound in Carlisle after being spotted as a stray for at least 7 days. She arrived with no name and 13kilos in weight after a week of feeding up in the pound! She had a c-section scar and stitches still present (later removed and found to be not done by a vet due to the type of suture material used). She has come on leaps and bounds after expert care in her foster home and is thoroughly unrecognisable now! She has had mammary tumours removed since being in care and has experienced some anxiety issues which can be controlled with Reconcile as and when needed. Despite the appalling treatment by previous "owners", she is the most loving and friendly girl to people. Belinda needs to be the only dog and can be very reactive to them inside and outside of the home. She needs a cat free home too and can live with older teens 15+ and to be rehomed in a similar place to where she is that is quiet, possibly semi rural and not in a dog heavy area. She is mostly house-trained with occasional accidents (again this has been patiently worked on in foster care and she may revert temporarily to her old ways, when she moves). Belinda can be left for up to 5 hours but prefers to be loose in the home and needs a breed experienced home. A super girl with just the worst start in life imaginable - please do not overlook this beautiful soul xx

Bella is a playful, sweet and friendly little Frenchie with a wonderfully silly personality that will keep you smiling every day. She is a bit of a wuss deep down, so she can take a minute to warm up to new people, but once she realises you’re a friend, her sweet, silly personality and those wonderfully crazy eyes quickly steal your heart! She is completely toy mad and loves to chase a ball or destroy a stuffed teddy. Tug of war is great too! Treats are also a firm favourite, and she’ll never say no to a tasty snack! Bella absolutely loves a good bum scratch and will happily wiggle her way over for some fuss and attention. She walks well on the lead and travels well in the car.Bella is currently being tested around other dogs, so more information on her doggy friendships will follow. One thing’s for sure, she’s full of character and will make a brilliant companion for someone looking for a loving, entertaining little dog.2020 - 2026 Animal Concern Cumbria. Benny, a 4 years old male Bulldog available for adoption from Homeless Hounds in Lancashire

Benny

Lancashire
SexMale
Age4 years
BreedBulldog

Benny is new to Homeless Hounds and is under assessment. You can still apply for Benny but be aware at this stage we don’t know what type of home he will require.Benny is a young Frenchie who came in to us from the pound as an unclaimed stray.Benny is a lovely boy and enjoys nothing better than to sit with his human and have lots of cuddles. He has some very endearing ways and is very sweet natured and very laid back if he has company. He does suffer from some separation anxiety and needs a patient owner who is around for most of the day who will help him overcome his anxiety about being left on his own.Benny likes sleeping with and resting his head his human before going to sleep. At present he finds it difficult to settle and sleep on his own. Benny loves his walks and gets very excited. However, he does know basic commands and will stop and wait at the curb side if asked to do so. He is vocal when he sees other dogs but his response to seeing other dogs seems to stem from excitement as opposed to aggression but we will be further testing this. For the time being we would be rehoming Benny as an only dog.Benny loves ball games and is happy to have a good play in the garden – although he isn’t great at retrieving and returning the ball as yet. Benny may need a little help with his toilet training until he settles in.

Blue, a 6 years old female Bulldog available for adoption from Bulldog Rescue in West Sussex

Bulldog Rescue

Blue

West Sussex
SexFemale
Age6 years
BreedBulldog

Dogs: OK Kids: 5+ Cats: RATHER NOT Gorgeous, chunky, fussy, cuddle monster Blue is looking for her forever family as her owner's work hours have increased following a relationship split. Blue is now on her own for far too long and her owner knows she needs more than she can give her. She has previously lived with other dogs and is fine meeting new dogs on the lead. Blue lives oppposite a park where many dogs walk and play, so a home with dogs would really suit her well. She sees her neighbours cats in her garden regularly but can run and bark at them and as she is untested in the home, we would prefer no cats please. She is used to children of all ages from birth, but can knock little ones over so we feel 5+ would be perfect for her. Blue is absolutely wonderful with all people and demands a fuss and a love from all! Blue has no experience of livestock and has had limited experience in the car. She can get stressed and anxious when travelling, we would recommend building this up slowly in her new home. Blue is mostly housetrained and can have accidents particularly at night (a couple of nights a week). Medically she is reportedly fit and well and is on no ongoing medication. She has a long history of repeated UTI's after her seasons until she contracted a pyometra and had an ovariospay. The UTI's have not reoccurred since her spay in June '23. Blue's breathing is loud when walked, but she must lose weight before being assessed for surgery. BDR will cover this surgery if and whe needed at one of our trusted vet practices. Blue is not used to going on the furniture and whilst she would most likely be delighted to do so, if your family also don't allow dogs on the sofas she would be perfectly compliant. A really super girl, described by her owner as boisterous, playful, happy, loving and curious. Breed experience is not required for Blue. Are you her very lucky forever family?Adoption Fee: £400.00 SHOW AN INTEREST IN THIS DOG
