Teddy is a sensitive and timid boy who has had very little life experience. New people and unfamiliar situations can be frightening for him and he needs calm, gentle introductions to feel safe. With patience and reassurance, Teddy does begin to relax and show his softer side, but trust takes time.Because he has never truly experienced normal home life, everyday things such as lead walking, household noises and close human contact are all new to him. He is currently learning to walk on a lead and is slowly building confidence, but he does not yet know any basic commands and has had no previous training.Teddy has never been house trained, so his new owners will need time, consistency and access to a secure garden to help him learn. He will need a steady routine to help him understand what is expected of him.He is comfortable around other calm and sociable dogs and he could live with a suitable companion who has good manners and is happy to share.
