Tinkerbell has come to us from a breeder and has never lived in a home before, so she is unsure and very sensitive to touch. She can go into panic mode if handled too quickly and may try to bite out of fear, but this does not mean she is aggressive; she is simply terrified and trying to protect herself. Once she is safely in your arms and feels secure, she can settle well and will allow gentle fussing and even hair trimming around her face. The initial handling is what scares her most, so patience and slow, careful introductions are essential.Tinkerbell will need a very experienced, adult-only home with people who have handled terrified or highly sensitive dogs before. She will also benefit from a kind, confident resident dog to guide her and help her feel more secure.
