Topps arrived with us from a breeder and, at first, was an extremely worried and shut-down little girl. Everything was overwhelming for her and she found human contact very frightening, as she didn’t yet understand how gentle and loving hands could be.With time, patience and kindness, Topps has started to blossom and has already made such wonderful progress. From barking at her kennel mummy and wanting little to do with people, she now feels comfortable sitting close, taking treats, giving sweet nose nudges and even sharing little kisses. She has recently begun to accept gentle ear tickles when she is feeling brave – a huge step for her!Topps has now moved to a foster home, where she is starting to learn all about home life and new skills like house training for the first time.Topps still has a way to go and will need an experienced, adult-only home where she can continue to build her confidence at her own pace.
