Wesley

Wesley, who rather likes to be called Woo Woo, was brought into the UK as a young dog. I believe he went directly to his adopter & with him he took a whole host of fear. Extremely uncomfortable and fearful around men & incredibly anxious in general. Wesley was very loved & his owner protected him from his fears, maybe this didn’t help to build his confidence but it helped in the short term. After several years his original owner was diagnosed with lung cancer and needed extensive treatment. With nobody to look after Wesley she reached out to the original rescue and then when offered no support she broadened her search. Eventually she found us and we agreed to take on this complicated Romanian boy.The night he arrived I think was the most emotional owner surrender I’ve ever experienced. This lady loved her dog and he didn’t understand what was happening.It took time to even get Wesley to eat here, a bundle of nerves and anxiety.He is still highly strung, he is still fearful of men but h...
