Description
Zape is a lovely blind golden oldie estimated to be around 11 years old. He weighs 21kgs, is neutered and currently in foster in Spain. Zape came from a local hoarding case. He was in poor condition as he wasn’t fed regularly or treated for parasites. His former owner was aware of his blindness but did not seek further veterinary treatment. Zape’s blindness has now been investigated. He has been diagnosed with bilateral mature cataracts. Unfortunately, his retinas are non-functional so the vet has advised against cataract surgery, as his sight would not be restored. Zape is a low energy, quiet, calm and cuddly boy. He just wants a comfy bed and good food (he prefers wet food rather than kibble). He walks nicely on and off the lead and travels well in the car. He’s a wonderful chap and his rescuer says he “shows zero problems at all”. Zape is used to living in a home environment.
