Archie

Archie is such a sweet little man who came into our care from a breeder. He was adopted but has sadly been returned after his adopters felt they were not the right match for him. Archie formed a very strong bond with his female owner, but found it much harder to build a relationship with her husband, who was frequently away from home and therefore had very little opportunity to gain Archie's trust. When Archie becomes closely bonded to his favourite person, he can become protective of them. In his previous home, he nipped when he was sitting with his owner and her husband approached, so his new adopters will need to understand this behaviour and be prepared to continue building his confidence in a positive and patient way. He is a cuddly and affectionate little dog once he feels comfortable, although he isn't quite brave enough to take treats from our hands just yet.
