Basil is a handsome little chap who came to us for rehoming a couple of years ago as a 7 month old pup, along with 10 other dogs… from a breeding situation that had got out of hand! He hadn’t been socialised all that well, which meant that he lacked confidence. We found him a new home, but sadly, now at 3 years old, he’s been returned through no fault of his own.Basil is a friendly lad, but can still be shy in new situations or with new people. We are sure that once he has settled in, he will be a lot more confident. Basil has lived with children, and could go to a family home with children again.He has been good with other dogs in his previous home, but is very barky initially! We think he could live with another dog but this would be dependant on a dog meeting. He’s not suitable to live with cats.Basil is said to be pretty well behaved in the home, he’s house trained, crate trained, and was okay being left for a few hours (however he can be unsettled to start with).
