02-07-26 Berry originally came to us from a breeder in 2022 and was adopted into a home, but she has unfortunately been returned as she was still struggling to live with the resident dog. While she socialises well with other dogs when out and about, she is looking for a home where she can be the only dog, as she has shown resource guarding behaviours around high-value items such as food and treats within the home.When Berry arrived back here, she was a very worried little girl who preferred to keep her distance. Since then, Berry has made some lovely progress. Although she can still be a little nervous in new situations and with unfamiliar people, she has grown so much in confidence with the people she knows. She now actively seeks out fuss from her handler and, if they stop, she'll gently paw at them and even have a little cry to ask for more attention.In her previous home, Berry displayed resource guarding behaviours around both dogs and people.
