Are you right for Boss? Meet Boss, a Dachshund crossbreed, looking for a family that can give him a peaceful life of cuddles on the sofa, nice long quiet walks, and a calm home environment. Boss began his life with a few behavioural challenges, which caused his original owners to rehome him. Since being in his 2nd home, his original owners feel that a lot of his behavioural challenges have improved; however, his next family need to be prepared that there might be some regression or reappearances of behaviours such as resource guarding of high-value toys or beds/sleeping areas. He can be selectively reactive towards some people and most dogs at a distance – although friendly when approached by dogs, he would benefit from ongoing training. Boss could live with another calm dog, pending meets at the centre and a cat, pending a scent swap. He is suitable to live with older secondary-aged children or in an adult-only home.
