Cherry

Cherry came into our care from a breeder and was initially very worried and unsure of her surroundings. She was not confident enough to approach people and would keep her distance, often moving away if she felt uncertain. However, once gently picked up, Cherry would settle and allow handling, showing her gentle nature despite her fears.Cherry needed a calm, quiet environment with adopters who understand the needs of ex-breeding dogs and are willing to give her the time and patience she requires. As she had never lived in a home before, everything was new to her and she needed support to learn about home life, including house training and learning to walk on a lead. A kind, confident resident dog was identified as essential to help build her confidence, and we would consider her for a home with dog-savvy teenagers.Cherry has now been in her foster home and has made very good progress. She lives with five resident dogs and gets along well with them all, often taking reassurance from them...
