Another perrera closing in Spain and so a huge rush to find rescue space for around 50 dogs. We were asked if we could help CHERRY, a breton cross. Found as a stray and aged at around 6 years. She was found with various masses that have been removed with no signs of metastasis. We have carried out bloods and all look good. She waited patiently in the perrera for quite a while, but no-one wanted her. Described as calm, kind hearted and with so much to give over the next 8/9 years, maybe, it is a blessing that her plight has been highlighted. CHERRY is now in a foster home near Grantham, Lincolnshire. She settles on her dog bed happily during the day and sleeps through the night next to the fosterer’s bed. She has been left for a few hours with no issues. At the moment, she needs someone who is happy for her to exist alongside them rather than lots of fuss. She will seek reassurance and a gentle touch of your hand, but sudden movements will make her withdraw. Someone with experience of s...
