Dawn French

Hello, I’m Dawn French (no, not that one)! Unlike my namesake, I’m a quiet girl and I need a little time to get to know someone new. Don’t worry though, I have an absolutely fabulous cheeky side to me once I feel safe. Snuggles are very welcome once we have had time to get to know each other, slow and steady wins the race, as they say. Talking of racing, that was my job before I retired! I like a good brush, especially around my neck. If you stop, I might even step closer and look at you as if to say, Are you sure you’re finished? I can imagine us sat together on the sofa, you brushing my hair while we settle down to an episode of the Vicar of Dibley. I’ve only ever known life living in a kennel, so I’ve never been inside a house before. It might take me a little while to adjust as I can be a little worried in unfamiliar places at the moment, but with patience, gentle guidance, plenty of yummy snacks and a bit of time, I’m sure I will learn to love what retirement can offer.
