Well – Zebedee is the first thing that comes to mind!Quite a petite boy, but a beautiful blue with a gorgeous face. He looked keen on the track, but was equally bouncy in the car park. Spent the whole walk bouncing at the end of the lead!I would imagine an experienced home needed, and maybe a higher energy one!

Abbi is 4yrs old. She is very nervous until she knows you but does come round with patience and kindness. She would prefer to be the only dog at home, but does walk happily with other dogs, which would give her confidence. She will need a patient and understanding home, without young children as they may be too much for her. She is clean in her kennel and will be really loyal once she trusts you. Update: Abbi will need a home without too much activity where she can come out of her shell. She may be able to live with a confident dog-savy cat. She would prefer a more rural setting as she is spooked very easily by unexpected noise.

Adele is a stunning girl with a happy-go-lucky nature. She needs to be an only dog as she prefers all the human attention to be on her and will happily lie upside down for belly rubs.Her prey drive is quite strong so she would benefit from an experienced owner.

Leicester Animal Rescue

Adorable Ajay is the sweetest boy. He’s an ex racing greyhound which means he has not been in a home, therefore, may not be house trained but don’t let that put you off. Ajay is a very snuggly, affectionate boy. He walks like a dream on the lead. He loves a good blast around a field (a secure one!). He can be homed with children over the age of 10 years old and seems fine with other dogs but can’t be homed with small furries. Ajay loves a soft toy to play with and snuggling up in a cozy bed. Unfortunately, black greyhounds get overlooked for some reason! But whoever is lucky enough to give this sweet boy a home, will have a loyal and loving friend for life!

Al arrived with us on 25/03/26 and is currently under assessment. He is a friendly and sweet-natured boy who really enjoys gentle fuss and affection. Al has a lovely, easy-going nature and is likely settle happily a range of home environments.

Handsome 3.5 year old AL arrived with us on the 9th May 2026.AL loves to see the volunteer walkers and walks well on the lead. He is interested to see there are other breeds of dog on his walks but doesn't react negatively towards them. He has shown he is a confident, friendly and affectionate boy who also enjoys spending time in the enrichment (home from home) room playing with toys.AL doesn't like to miss out and loves to be involved in everything that's going on! He could live in a home with another female hound or would be equally happy as an only dog. Whats Great About Al? Al is a quiet guy who loves a fuss and cuddles. He would love a quiet retirement with lots of sunbathing and time to snooze. He can potentially live with another neutered sighthound pending successful meets at the sanctuary. Alfie is a cheeky, playful and affectionate Greyhound who has quickly charmed everyone with his soft nature and delightful presence. He loves attention from his known people and is often found playing with toys, zooming around paddocks or enjoying gentle fuss.Alfie enjoys gentle walks, enrichment games, and then a long nap on a comfy bed. He is looking for a supportive and patient home where he can settle in his own pace.A secure garden is needed for Alfie so he can have a safe area for his playful side and the occasional burst of energy. This will also come in handy while he is learning the basics and the routines of home life.Alfie is very sociable with other dogs, especially other Greyhounds, and he enjoys their company on walks and in calm social settings. As one of Alfie’s favourite things to do is play with toys, he can become grumpy when he has to share them with other dogs.
