Doris

Doris is an absolutely beautiful, gentle soul and has been very friendly since she came in to our care. She has spent most of her life in kennels but is taking everything in her stride and getting more confident with her new surroundings. Due to this, we feel that going into a home will be a little nerve racking for her and we cannot say if she will be house or toilet trained.She is an ex racer so does have a high prey drive when she sees squirrels out on her walks! But she does walk beautifully on the lead and loves to go out with our volunteers for her woodland walks. She also loves a treat or two on the way round!Doris is paired in her kennel with another greyhound and is quite happy to be around them, so we feel she could potentially live in a home with another dog of a similar size and temperament – subject to a successful meet. However she would not be suitable to live in a home with any small animals such as cats, due to her high prey drive. We believe she could live with childr...
