Meet Elsa, a beautiful 4-year-old Border Collie who recently came into the care of Islay Dog Rescue after changes in her family’s circumstances meant they could no longer care for her.Elsa is an intelligent, high-energy girl who loves to play and adores her toys. Like many collies, she thrives when both her body and mind are kept busy, so she would greatly benefit from ongoing enrichment such as nose work, agility, problem-solving games, and interactive play.When meeting new dogs, Elsa can initially be reactive until she gets to know them. We believe she could do well living with a confident male dog who can match her energy levels and help build her confidence.Elsa’s lead training is currently a work in progress. She can pull on lead and will bark at passing cars, although she does not lunge.
