Franklin is a little bigger than Ronnie and equally as affectionate. He loves nothing more than tummy rubs, ear scratches, and cuddles with his humans. He does have some allergies that are managed through diet and daily supplements, which keep him happy and healthy. Franklin can be a bit more wary around children that he doesn’t know or when they are noisy and approach too quickly For this reason we feel a home with dog savvy older children would be best suited. Like many dachshunds, Franklin takes his role as the “doorbell” seriously and will bark when people or dogs arrive, eager to say hello and get some fuss, once settled Franklin is happiest on someone’s lap, soaking up all the love he can. Franklin adores his food and treats but must avoid chicken. He can also be a bit of an escape artist, so his new home will need a secure garden, with gates and doors always kept safely shut.
