Giovanni

At 9 years old, Giovanni should be enjoying the comforts of a loving home, not waiting in rescue. Sadly, Giovanni found himself at the vets to be euthanised after his owner reported that he had started fighting with the other resident dog. We couldn’t let his story end there. The two dogs had reportedly lived happily together for most of their lives before the fighting began. Since coming into our care, we’ve seen a very different side of Giovanni. The two boys are happy to walk alongside each other and interact like old friends, with no signs of conflict. However, because of their history, we feel it’s in both of their best interests to be rehomed separately. Giovanni is an absolute sweetheart and has quickly become a firm favourite with our volunteers. He’s incredibly affectionate, loves a fuss, and is always happy to make new friends. Whether it’s a volunteer he’s known for weeks or someone he’s only just met, Giovanni is always ready to greet them with his gentle, friendly nature. ...
