SexMale
Age7 years
BreedStaffordshire Bull Terrier x Jack Russell Terrier

Bailey is looking for an owner who can keep him company all day and it would be nice for him to have access to a garden. He is looking to be the only pet but could live with older children. Bailey is a happy, confident boy who likes saying hello to everyone he meets. He adores human contact and is at his most content having you close by. This does mean that he finds it difficult being on his own so he will have to have company all day- he would be a lovely companion to have around for a family or someone who works from home. Despite having only 3 legs, he gets around with no issue and enjoys his walks though does tire easily so he would like easy access to his own garden where he can be given plenty of mental enrichment whether that be a tasty filled kong or likimat. Bailey doesn’t quite know what to do with himself when he comes across other dogs though can make doggy friends with careful introductions. Bailey has had veterinary treatment during his stay at the Home. More information will be discussed with successful applicants.

Bruno is a fun-loving, one-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Lurcher with a huge personality and an even bigger zest for life. Full of energy and enthusiasm, he’s looking for an active home that can keep up with his adventurous spirit and provide him with plenty of exercise, enrichment, and mental stimulation to help him thrive. Bruno is an incredibly bright and switched-on boy who loves learning new things. He really enjoys training sessions and picking up new tricks, making him an ideal companion for adopters who are looking for a dog they can work with and continue to develop. Whether it’s mastering new skills, taking on fun training challenges, or even having a go at activities like agility or scent work, Bruno is always eager to learn and please. Bruno is a sociable boy who enjoys spending time with other dogs and would love a home where he can continue to meet and play with canine friends on walks. While he gets on well with other dogs, we feel he would benefit from being the only dog in the home, where he can enjoy all the love, attention, and one-to-one training he deserves. Bruno could live with children aged 12 years and over who are confident around larger dogs and understand how to interact with them respectfully. His playful nature means he’ll make a fantastic companion for a family that enjoys getting outdoors and including their dog in everyday adventures. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent, and energetic best friend who’s always ready for the next walk, training session, or adventure, Bruno could be the perfect match for you! .errordiv { padding:10px; margin:10px; border: 1px solid #555555;color: #000000;background-color: #f8f8f8; width:500px; }#advanced_iframe {visibility:visible;opacity:1;vertical-align:top;}.ai-info-bottom-iframe { position: fixed; z-index: 10000; bottom:0; left: 0; margin: 0px; text-align: center; width: 100%; background-color: #ff9999; padding-left: 5px;padding-bottom: 5px; border-top: 1px solid #aaa } a.ai-bold {font-weight: bold;}#ai-layer-div-advanced_iframe p {height:100%;margin:0;padding:0}#advanced_iframe { visibility:hidden; } var ai_iframe_width_advanced_iframe = 0;var ai_iframe_height_advanced_iframe = 0;function aiReceiveMessageadvanced_iframe(event) { aiProcessMessage(event,"advanced_iframe", "true");}if (window.addEventListener) { window.addEventListener("message", aiReceiveMessageadvanced_iframe);} else if (el.attachEvent) { el.attachEvent("message", aiReceiveMessageadvanced_iframe);}var aiIsIe8=false;var aiOnloadScrollTop="true";var aiExtraSpace=200;var aiShowDebug=false; if (typeof aiReadyCallbacks === 'undefined') { var aiReadyCallbacks = []; } else if (!(aiReadyCallbacks instanceof Array)) { var aiReadyCallbacks = []; } function aiShowIframeId(id_iframe) { jQuery("#"+id_iframe).css("visibility", "visible"); } function aiResizeIframeHeight(height) { aiResizeIframeHeight(height,advanced_iframe); } function aiResizeIframeHeightId(height, width,id) {aiResizeIframeHeightById(id,height);}var ifrm_advanced_iframe = document.getElementById("advanced_iframe");var hiddenTabsDoneadvanced_iframe = false; function resizeCallbackadvanced_iframe() {} Show more Show less .vehica-gallery-thumbs .vehica-swiper-slide { width: calc(100% / 0 - 17px); } @media (min-width: 900px) { .vehica-gallery-thumbs .vehica-swiper-slide { width: calc(100% / 3 - 17px); } } @media (min-width: 1200px) { .vehica-gallery-thumbs .vehica-swiper-slide { width: calc(100% / 5 - 17px); } } {{ galleryProps.activeIndex + 1 }}/2 Upcoming Events London Landmarks Half Marathon 2027 Animals in Need of Your Help Help Big Mike See Clearly Again Support & Advice A Guide to Responsible Pet Ownership Follow us Donate Report Cruelty-RSPCA Adopting An Animal Work with us Privacy, Compliments & Complaints Sign-up for our Newsletter 01453 890 014 [email protected] The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home, Beechmeadow Farm, Elmcote Lane, Cambridge, Gloucestershire, GL2 7AS To report cruelty or an animal in distress call 0300 1234 999 Copyright © 2022 All rights reserved – RSPCA Cotswolds, Gloucester & District Branch CIO – The Cotswold Dogs & Cats Home - Registered Charity No: 1207042 Keep up to date with the residents, events and work of CDCH. Temperament: He is a real gent very friendly with everyone he meets and just perfect in a home environment. Carlo loves to play with all our volunteers, he just loves a run around in the paddock and showing off his zoomies! He is a good boy and listens well, he knows how to sit and enjoys catching treats. Behaviour with other dogs/ cats: Carlo is great on his walks but is not socialised with other dogs and although not reactive he will react if they come into his personal space. He would benefit from a capable experienced handler for this reason. Here at the rescue he walks great on his lead with all staff and has begun muzzle training. Any other info: Carlo needs a secure home with a garden fence/wall 6ft and over as he can jump high, or supervised access only. Type of home needed: Secure and safe home with an experienced handler. Are you right for Daphne?Daphne is a 7 year old English Bull Terrier who brings a calm, steady presence and enjoys being part of everyday life. She’s happiest in the company of her people, whether that’s heading out for a walk, joining you on a day out or simply settling down nearby at home. She has good house manners, travels well in the car and can be left for a couple of hours. Daphne would like to be the only dog in the home, but she is relaxed and comfortable around other dogs when out and about and can enjoy calm walking company. She could live with older, sensible secondary school-aged children who understand her and respect her space. She is not suited to a home with cats or small furries due to her strong prey drive. Is Daphne right for you?One of the many things we love about Daphne is her wonderfully easy-going nature. She enjoys a game of ball, loves finding the comfiest spot in the house for a snooze and has definitely decided that sharing the bed is one of life's greatest luxuries! Like many Bull Terriers, Daphne has plenty of character and appreciates gentle, respectful handling, rewarding those she trusts with loyal companionship and endless entertainment. She'll thrive with owners who are happy to continue her lead training around wildlife and who will embrace everything that makes this lovely girl so special. If you're looking for a funny, affectionate companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Daphne could be the perfect addition to your family.

Diamond

Kent
SexFemale
Age13 years
BreedBull Terrier

13 year old Diamond came to Foal due to a change in her families circumstances. Kennels is no place for this senior girl so we are hoping to find her a new home very soon.Diamond may be an older girl but is spritely and enjoying her walks. She does have some lumps, bumps and dental work that require attention and this will be done by our vets in due course.Although Diamond assessed well with another dog, having never shared a home with one we feel it could be a big ask, especially with her wanting all the attention for herself. On assessment, Diamond demonstrated some attention seeking behaviour where she will bark and paw at you. She wants companionship but does need some boundaries as to what is acceptable to get said attention. Any children in the home would need to be older and preferably have had experience around dogs like Diamond. She is a loyal girl and builds relationships very quickly and we have every confidence that within a loving home environment she will settle down quickly.Diamond has won the hearts of everyone here at Foal Farm, could she be the companion you are looking for?

Ernie, a 4 years old male Bull Terrier available for adoption from Foal Farm in Kent

Foal Farm

Ernie

Kent
SexMale
Age4 years
BreedBull Terrier

This handsome chap is Ernie, unfortunately this lovely boy is also a very unlucky lad and we are really hoping that there is an adopter out there who can change Ernie’s luck!Back in November 2022, Ernie arrived to us as a 3 month old puppy, he had been found as a stray! Ernie was rehomed and a year later returned due to no fault of his own. We rehomed Ernie for the second time, he was an adolescent and although a lovely lad, he was a boisterous boy who needed a lot of training. Unfortunately, nearly 18 months later in April 2025 he was returned for a second time as his owner was struggling to give him what he needed.A year later and Ernie still has not found his forever home! Ernie was in our kennels up until November 2025 until one of our volunteers took him to their home into foster, to give him a break from kennel life. We don’t understand why Ernie has been overlooked for so long, he is very friendly with people, could live with a dog of a similar size and has so many wonderful qualities!Poor Ernie is just 3 and a half years old and within that time he has had 5 homes, including foster homes, so of course he has a few quirks! He has never had stability and Ernie deserves this and more.Within the home, Ernie is the perfect house guest. He is very chilled indoors, loves snoozing on the sofa and in the mornings you have to wake him up. He is housetrained, friendly with visitors and happy to be left in his own company for a few hours. Ernie is a very affectionate boy and is a real snuggle buddy, even though he is a very large lap dog!Ernie is a big lad and can be strong on lead at times, his high prey drive adds to this. He needs ongoing training on the lead and he has proven before that he can do this, but due to his disruptive life he has found it hard to maintain any training. Ernie’s excitement can get the better of him at times and in these moments he will become boisterous, jump up and mouths. With ongoing training and boundaries, Ernie will learn what is expected of him. Whilst he is very dog friendly and will walk alongside most dogs, he can be reactive to some dogs, especially those who bark at him first. Again, he has proven that with the correct training he will make the right choices and engage with his handler instead. Within play with other dogs, he doesn’t realise his size so would be best suited to living with a companion of a similar size.Considering the turbulent life Ernie has had, he remains a very sweet and loving boy who would love nothing more than a family of his own to commit to him. In turn you will have an incredibly loving companion who would love to be snuggled up under your blanket. Ernie will make the most wonderful addition to a new home, any children must be older and dog savvy due to his size and bouncy nature. Please get in touch with us if you think you could be the one to finally turn Ernie’s luck around.

Age10 months
BreedStaffordshire Bull Terrier x Cane Corso

Meet Flynn – a sweet-natured boy with so much love to share Flynn is a handsome 10-month-old Staffy x Cane Corso who has already come an incredibly long way in a short space of time. Having been born and raised in one home without experiencing the outside world, everything is still very new to him and at times, a little overwhelming. Despite this, Flynn is making wonderful progress and is showing us just how gentle, loving, and eager to connect he truly is. Because of his limited early experiences, Flynn will need a quiet home and would be best suited to living with older, dog-savvy children who understand how to interact gently and respectfully with him. Flynn could live with another suited dog that would help him build his confidence. He is still learning about the world around him and will benefit from a calm, predictable environment where he can feel safe. In time, once he has settled and built up his confidence, we feel he could really benefit from positive, controlled interactions with calm and friendly dogs belonging to family or friends. Flynn is looking for a family who:

Giovanni, a 9 years old male Bull Terrier available for adoption from Celandine Wood in Wales

Celandine Wood

Giovanni

Wales
SexMale
Age9 years
BreedBull Terrier

At 9 years old, Giovanni should be enjoying the comforts of a loving home, not waiting in rescue. Sadly, Giovanni found himself at the vets to be euthanised after his owner reported that he had started fighting with the other resident dog. We couldn’t let his story end there. The two dogs had reportedly lived happily together for most of their lives before the fighting began. Since coming into our care, we’ve seen a very different side of Giovanni. The two boys are happy to walk alongside each other and interact like old friends, with no signs of conflict. However, because of their history, we feel it’s in both of their best interests to be rehomed separately. Giovanni is an absolute sweetheart and has quickly become a firm favourite with our volunteers. He’s incredibly affectionate, loves a fuss, and is always happy to make new friends. Whether it’s a volunteer he’s known for weeks or someone he’s only just met, Giovanni is always ready to greet them with his gentle, friendly nature. He’s a dream to walk on the lead, taking everything in his stride, and has shown very little interest in other dogs while out and about, happily passing them without fuss. And don’t let his age fool you—Giovanni still loves his walks and is a surprisingly active boy who enjoys getting out and about to explore. We’re looking for a home with older children (13+) as Giovanni hasn’t lived with younger children before. We think he’ll thrive in a home where he can enjoy plenty of love, adventures, cosy naps, and all the attention he deserves. After everything he’s been through, Giovanni has shown us nothing but kindness and affection. He deserves a family who will see what we see every day—a wonderful, gentle soul with so much love still to give. Could you be the one to give Giovanni the happy retirement he’s been waiting for? If you think you could offer Giovanni the forever home he deserves, we’d love to hear from you. Honey, a 7 years old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier x Mastiff available for adoption from RSPCA in Surrey

RSPCA

Honey

Surrey
SexFemale
Age7 years
BreedStaffordshire Bull Terrier x Mastiff

Honey joined us after a change in her previous owner's circumstances meant they could no longer provide the care she deserves. She is a truly affectionate girl who greets people with a wagging tail and an open heart. A connoisseur of toys—particularly the soft, plush variety—Honey is at her happiest when she has a squeaky friend to carry around.Honey is a polite girl who previously lived with another dog, but prefers to have all the attention to herself, so she looking at being an only dog. Because she appreciates a predictable environment, she is best suited to a household with secondary school-aged children who have experience living with dogs. While Honey is sweet-natured, she can a times be physically strong on the lead. Her new owners must be confident and physically capable of managing her during walks. She has shown great cleanliness in her kennel, though she may require a patient "refresher" in house training as she settles into a new routine. She travels well in the car but may need a little time to regain her confidence with travel.Honey’s past involved being left alone for longer than was ideal; consequently, she requires a home-based owner who can initially provide company before gradually building up her "alone time." A private, secure garden is essential for her play and relaxation.Honey can have anxiety during clinical exams, she will need to be muzzled for all veterinary visits to ensure she feels safe and secure. Honey did very well at the vets on a recent visit, so once Honey has built a bond with a vet her anxiety is a lot less :)
