Surrey

Age10 months
BreedBull Terrier

I may have had a very tough start to my life, but I refuse to let my past define me! The wonderful team at Millbrook have been helping me learn how to trust again, and I have made massive strides. I am a brave, resilient boy who only has three legs, but that doesn't slow me down! I am just looking for a special family to help me write my next, best chapter.Once I know you and trust you, I am an absolute lovebug! My love is full-on—I’m talking enthusiastic greetings, big energy, and total devotion. Because I can be a bit bouncy when I'm expressing my affection, I need a home with older, dog-savvy teenage children who can handle my joyful outbursts.I can still be a little wary of new people when we are out and about around the centre. Because of this, I am looking for patient adopters who have experience with nervous dogs and are excited to continue working on my confidence and training. Trust me, the reward of winning my heart is entirely worth it!The Only Pet: I am a social guy and enjoy meeting other dogs out on walks, but my play style is very "full-on." I would be happiest as the only pet in the home, but I'd love a solid circle of walking doggy friends!Exercise Needs: Having three legs means I need to manage my fitness carefully. I will need a family who can help me build up to more frequent exercise gradually, making sure I don't push myself too far. I may also need a ramp at home and for the car.Patient & Experienced Hands: My perfect match will understand body language, know how to manage a sensitive dog in public, and be willing to give me the time and space I need to settle in.Arnold with need his own private and secure garden where he can enjoy offlead play. He will also need a refresher on house training and car travel.Arnold has overcome so much adversity and has so much love to give. If you have the experience and the heart to help this resilient boy thrive, he will repay you tenfold with a lifetime of loyalty.

BreedBull Terrier

Temperament: He is a real gent very friendly with everyone he meets and just perfect in a home environment. Carlo loves to play with all our volunteers, he just loves a run around in the paddock and showing off his zoomies! He is a good boy and listens well, he knows how to sit and enjoys catching treats. Behaviour with other dogs/ cats: Carlo is great on his walks but is not socialised with other dogs and although not reactive he will react if they come into his personal space. He would benefit from a capable experienced handler for this reason. Here at the rescue he walks great on his lead with all staff and has begun muzzle training. Any other info: Carlo needs a secure home with a garden fence/wall 6ft and over as he can jump high, or supervised access only. Type of home needed: Secure and safe home with an experienced handler. Ernie, a 4 years old male Bull Terrier available for adoption from Foal Farm in Kent

Foal Farm

Ernie

Kent
SexMale
Age4 years
BreedBull Terrier

This handsome chap is Ernie, unfortunately this lovely boy is also a very unlucky lad and we are really hoping that there is an adopter out there who can change Ernie’s luck!Back in November 2022, Ernie arrived to us as a 3 month old puppy, he had been found as a stray! Ernie was rehomed and a year later returned due to no fault of his own. We rehomed Ernie for the second time, he was an adolescent and although a lovely lad, he was a boisterous boy who needed a lot of training. Unfortunately, nearly 18 months later in April 2025 he was returned for a second time as his owner was struggling to give him what he needed.A year later and Ernie still has not found his forever home! Ernie was in our kennels up until November 2025 until one of our volunteers took him to their home into foster, to give him a break from kennel life. We don’t understand why Ernie has been overlooked for so long, he is very friendly with people, could live with a dog of a similar size and has so many wonderful qualities!Poor Ernie is just 3 and a half years old and within that time he has had 5 homes, including foster homes, so of course he has a few quirks! He has never had stability and Ernie deserves this and more.Within the home, Ernie is the perfect house guest. He is very chilled indoors, loves snoozing on the sofa and in the mornings you have to wake him up. He is housetrained, friendly with visitors and happy to be left in his own company for a few hours. Ernie is a very affectionate boy and is a real snuggle buddy, even though he is a very large lap dog!Ernie is a big lad and can be strong on lead at times, his high prey drive adds to this. He needs ongoing training on the lead and he has proven before that he can do this, but due to his disruptive life he has found it hard to maintain any training. Ernie’s excitement can get the better of him at times and in these moments he will become boisterous, jump up and mouths. With ongoing training and boundaries, Ernie will learn what is expected of him. Whilst he is very dog friendly and will walk alongside most dogs, he can be reactive to some dogs, especially those who bark at him first. Again, he has proven that with the correct training he will make the right choices and engage with his handler instead. Within play with other dogs, he doesn’t realise his size so would be best suited to living with a companion of a similar size.Considering the turbulent life Ernie has had, he remains a very sweet and loving boy who would love nothing more than a family of his own to commit to him. In turn you will have an incredibly loving companion who would love to be snuggled up under your blanket. Ernie will make the most wonderful addition to a new home, any children must be older and dog savvy due to his size and bouncy nature. Please get in touch with us if you think you could be the one to finally turn Ernie’s luck around.

Meet Flynn – a sweet-natured boy with so much love to share Flynn is a handsome 7-month-old Staffy x Cane Corso who has already come an incredibly long way in a short space of time. Having been born and raised in one home without experiencing the outside world, everything is still very new to him and at times, a little overwhelming. Despite this, Flynn is making wonderful progress and is showing us just how gentle, loving, and eager to connect he truly is. Because of his limited early experiences, Flynn will need a quiet home and would be best suited to living with older, dog-savvy children who understand how to interact gently and respectfully with him. Flynn could live with another suited dog that would help him build his confidence. He is still learning about the world around him and will benefit from a calm, predictable environment where he can feel safe. In time, once he has settled and built up his confidence, we feel he could really benefit from positive, controlled interactions with calm and friendly dogs belonging to family or friends. Flynn is looking for a family who:

Hunk, a 6 years old male Bull Terrier available for adoption from Foal Farm in Kent

Hunk

Kent
SexMale
Age6 years
BreedBull Terrier

Please meet our Hunk of love! He came to Foal after he needed a rescue space, alongside 3 other dogs he had been seized under welfare after they had been abandoned.Hunk has been a little wary around some men but only within his kennel space. Out and about he has been friendly with everyone but he is very much a ladies man. Hunk is very sweet, friendly and affectionate. He has a lot of love to give however he has no concept of spatial awareness so he can be clumsy and boisterous at times. This lovely lad has a lot of character and everyone has fallen in love with him. He will need a family who are willing to commit to training as he does need to learn what self control means, especially as he is a big lad who can be strong at times. We are seeking an older family home for Hunk who have the time and patience to settle him into a new life. Ongoing training will be essential, he is keen to work for food and a tennis ball, he has a lot of potential. Hunk has tested well around dogs but can be intense at times, so we would like him to be the only dog in a new home where his family can work on socialisation.Hunk is a very lovely boy and with a committed family we are sure he will thrive in a new home.
