Larry Speare

Never fear, Larry Speare is here! Everyone knows thaaaat! Ok ok, so I’m not THAT Larry Speare, you know the one, you’ve all heard the adverts! But that doesn’t mean that I won’t appreciate the comfort of a lovely soft bed or the feeling of a plush carpet beneath my feet. In fact, these are all things I am yet to experience because, as a ex racing greyhound, I have spent my whole life in a kennel. I’ve recently retired and I’m ready and waiting for the perfect retirement home. I love it when people come to see me in my cosy kennel here. I greet everyone will with wiggliest bottom and the waggiest tail. I love fuss and a stroke, and a good ol’ neck scratch. I’m a bit less confident when I’m out and about, or in a new place, where I might need a minute before I’m ready to say hello to someone new. The offer of a little treat and a gentle pat when I approach is enough to settle me, although I prefer strokes around my neck rather than on my head. The humans are yet to see me engage with a t...
