Lola

When trying to come up with ideas for these appeals, one of the better ways in which to find inspiration is to think of the animal in question and then to record the first word that comes to mind. The appeal can then flow from that word, like an acorn from which a hopeful oak might sprout. Often these words are frustratingly trite (friendly, nervous, playful), sometimes they are creatively useful (jolly, whirling, pandemonium) and, rarer still, they can be…unexpected. I’ve worked with Lola for a little while now and have gotten to know her rather well, yet still I didn’t foresee the word that sprung into my mind: generous.Well, I thought, I’m not at all sure about that. I was anticipating something closer to wriggle-bottom or cannonball, for Lola is certainly both of those. Sweetheart? She is that too. Barrel? Absolutely.
