Maddie ️

Maddie is a terrier girl who has had quite a traumatic life sadly Maddie first came to us over 3 years ago from the stray kennels and assessed in kennels as the perfect girl! She was super happy and friendly with everyone she met, other dogs, just a fabulous girl! She was quickly taken home by one of our volunteers and adopted However, after a few weeks, maddies little quirks started to come out she was quite defensive of her home, especially with men, and began to bark at dogs on the lead. Despite seeing behaviourists and trainers, unfortunately her behaviour continued to worsen, and she was returned to the rescue On her return, we wanted to investigate further a sometimes odd gait in maddies rear leg – and the X-rays showed a terrible picture An old injury, from long before she ever came to us and was adopted, had healed in the most obscure way, resulting in a twisted femur and irregular pelvis.
