Aengus forms very strong bonds with his people and loves nothing more than being close to them-ideally curled up on a lap. Due to severe separation anxiety, Aengus is looking for a home with at least two adults who can ensure he is not left alone for long periods. He would suit a household where someone is around for most of the day and where his need for companionship can be accommodated. Aengus is initially nervous around new people and can take a little time to build trust. However, once he gets to know someone, he forms incredibly strong and loyal bonds. His current foster home has seen him blossom in confidence, revealing a playful and loving personality that wasn’t immediately apparent when he first arrived. He enjoys playing with his ball and loves getting out for walks, making him a wonderful companion for people who enjoy spending time outdoors as well as relaxing at home. For Aengus’s comfort and wellbeing, he would be happiest as the only pet in the home, allowing him to receive the attention and stability he needs. As a Miniature Poodle, Aengus’s coat requires regular maintenance to keep it healthy and comfortable. Any potential adopter must be committed to his ongoing grooming needs, including regular brushing and professional grooming appointments as required. Aengus’s Ideal Home:

Alaska

Gloucestershire
SexMale
Age5 months
BreedSiberian Husky

Alaska is a beautiful husky but who came to us quite some time ago from the stray kennels Sadly on assessment, Alaska seemed in discomfort with his back left leg On further vet exam, it was discovered that Alaska had a previous injury to his hip which had not healed correctly, causing pain and havoc all down his leg It was a tough choice on what to do, but the priority was to rid Alaska of pain. Alaska underwent an operation on his hip this year, and has had subsequent physio and hydrotherapy since. He has made a wonderful recovery and the vet has signed him off to be adopted and is very happy with him! Alaska is a beautiful, affectionate and sweet boy, who we have got to know really well over the last few months. He is lovely to walk, calm at home, can be left for short periods, and has endless love to give! He is such an amazing boy, and we can’t wait to give a family the wonderful opportunity to add him to their home There is a possibility that Alaska may need a second operation to his kneecap. However the vet is hopeful that he won’t. This will be covered by the rescue should be need this done in the future (must be with our vet) and this can be discussed further. It will be important that a forever home keeps up with Alaska regular exercise to maintain the muscle he has in his leg, we have worked hard to get it to this point! Blue

Blue is an active Lurcher who has come to us from the stray kennels – we suspect he has been a pet before as he finds kennels stressful although he does have strong hunting instincts typical of his breed too! Blue is an active boy rather than a lazy Lurcher. He loves to chase a ball and is obsessed! (Great fly ball prospect?!) he can be strong on the lead so needs a capable walking human, however he is food motivated and very trainable Blue is friendly with all humans however we think he is a little too headstrong to go with children and would do better in an adult home experienced with large dogs; he is young and does need someone with time and energy for him, he will reward you with love ! Could you be the proud new parents of Blue? Adoption application form: https://aurasdogs.co.uk/adoption-form/ e rehome to maximum 90 minutes drive from our centre in Gloucestershire

She’s full of playful energy, a true bouncy bundle of joy who’s always ready for a cuddle or a zoom around the garden. Cara is a homebody at her core. She absolutely adores her home comforts and can often be found lazing on the sofa. She has no idea how big she is – she’s very much a “chihuahua in a mastiff’s body”, convinced she’s a lap dog and happiest when soaking up all the cuddles she can get! Cara is incredibly affectionate with the people she knows and trusts, but she can be wary of unfamiliar people, particularly men. She needs slow, positive introductions on her terms, outside the home with plenty of tasty treats (hot dogs are a favourite!). It’s really important that people are respectful of her boundaries. Because of this, she’s looking for a calm and understanding home with older children aged 15+ who can appreciate when she needs space and allow her to build relationships at her own pace. When it comes to training, Cara is a bright spark. She responds well to positive reinforcement and enjoys learning, especially when food is involved. She’ll need adopters who are committed to continuing her training and helping her manage new or challenging situations. Cara also has a wonderfully goofy, energetic side. She loves nothing more than running around like the clown she is, and trips to secure fields where she can stretch her legs and let off steam are an absolute must for her. Cara is friendly with other dogs on walks and enjoys parallel walks with canine companions. While she loves human attention and affection, she could happily share her home with another dog who matches her energy and complements her personality. Cara’s Ideal Home: • A calm household with older children aged 15+ • A quiet environment with minimal visitors • Access to secure fields for regular off-lead zoomies • A comfy sofa and plenty of home comforts • Cara could live with another dog who matches her energy • A family committed to giving her the time, structure, and love she needs to thrive Cara is looking for a special family who will give her the time, structure, and love she needs to feel secure. If you think Cara could be the missing piece in your life, we’d love to hear from you. Get in touch by completing the Perfect Match Form below.

Aura’s Rescue began after its founders visited Romania and witnessed the suffering of dogs in public shelters, where abuse, neglect, and abandonment were common. Inspired by a local rescuer named Aura, who cared for overlooked and long-stay dogs from her small home shelter, the team committed to helping those considered least likely to be adopted. The rescue focuses particularly on older, traumatised, and fearful dogs who have spent years waiting without hope. By bringing these dogs into foster homes in the UK, Aura’s Rescue provides patient rehabilitation, giving them the chance to adjust, heal, and finally experience safety and love.

Gloucestershire’s combination of countryside, market towns and commuter areas makes it a popular county for rescue dog adoption. Dogs rehomed here are often suited to homes that can offer outdoor access and a stable routine. Many rescues focus on thoughtful matching, particularly for dogs that benefit from quieter surroundings. Local adoption helps support charities working to give dogs a secure and lasting future.
