Mario is happiest when he has company and can find being left completely alone difficult. He settles well when another dog is with him, so he will need to live with a suitable canine companion and would thrive in a home where he can enjoy plenty of time with his family. Due to his size, Mario could live with secondary school-aged children who are confident around a large dog. He has a strong prey drive, so he cannot live with cats or other small furry pets and will need to remain on lead when out and about.
