05-03-26 Mattie has come to us from a breeder ready to find her forever home. She is a very worried little girl who is understandably overwhelmed to find herself here. At the moment she is unsure of people and will freeze when handled, simply because she does not yet know that she is safe.Mattie will be looking for a calm and quiet home where she can settle in at her own pace. Adopters with experience of worried ex-breeding dogs would be ideal, as they will understand how important patience and kindness are for girls like Mattie. Slow movements, soft voices and allowing her to come to you in her own time will help her confidence begin to grow. We would consider homing her with dog-savvy teenagers who can respect her sensitive nature.Mattie finds comfort in the company of other dogs and will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home.
