SharPei Tan 1 Year (approx) Ref: C2025132 Max is a oneyearold Shar Pei who came into our care due to changes in his owner’s circumstances. Kennel life has been particularly challenging for Max, and he has needed time, patience, and understanding to begin building trusting relationships with our staff. Progress has come at Max’s pace, and we are incredibly proud of how far he has already come. Max is currently reactive to other dogs, which we believe is rooted in fear of the unknown rather than aggression. Because of this, Max is looking for a home where he can be the only pet, and he cannot live with cats. He needs a calm, predictable environment where he can feel safe and secure. Due to his sensitive nature, Max is looking for an adultonly home. He isn’t overly affectionate with new people at first, but as trust builds, he is beginning to enjoy gentle attention, especially neck and back scratches, always on his own terms.
