Meet lovely Cleo!Sweet Cleo arrived at Battersea as a gift, due to a change in her owners circumstances. Cleo's previous owner described her as a great girl who loves a cuddle with her people. She was notably wary of strangers in history and has been worried around new people on site. Cleo has proven to be a sensitive girl during her stay. Although she warms up to people quickly when given the opportunity to approach in her own time, she is still worried of life and sensitive to loud noises and busy places. Cleo is therefore looking for a home away from the hustle and bustle of city life, in a quiet location where she can work on her confidence building.She has been spending time in an office where she has settled and become a bit more relaxed.She has met many dogs while she has been with us, and has shown to really want to play with steadier dogs who aren't overbearing, and has proven to have some really lovely social skills once she gains confidence and begins to come out of her shell around the other dog.Cleo could potentially live with a steady dog in her new home, that would allow her the opportunity to gain confidence without being overwhelmed. Cleo has also lived with 2 cats in her previous home and would reportedly cuddle and play with them. She could therefore potentially live with a confident cat in her new home.Once she builds trust with her people, Cleo has proven to have a wonderful personality with lots of love to give and cannot wait to share this with her future person! Flipper came in on the 12th of May via another rescue. She was an unclaimed stray. She is currently waiting for an operation on her eyelids to fix the entropian (when the eyelashes turn inwards and irritate the eyes) so is not quite ready yet.Flipper is a friendly, affectionate girl who enjoys a fuss. She likes to play with either soft, squeaky toys or you!! Flipper knows how to sit, walks well on the lead and appears to be housetrained.She has been very sociable with other dogs so far at the shelter.Flipper is looking for an experienced owner. Gears is a 7 year old JRT X Shar PeiNo children or other pets please for this boy.Sadly Gears owner is unwell and can no longer provide the care he needs.Gears will need a savvy home with someone that's prepared to put the time into his training.Because of the owner's health issues Gears has not been walked out in the outside world for a while.He can be boisterous and gets a little over excited at times, but soon calms down.Have you a savvy home to offer this boy?Please note this dog has not been assessed by LCH and remains with owner until a foster home is secured.(Gears location is the Somerset area .)

Loki is with us due to the child in the home tormenting him and his owners did not think it was fair to Loki. He can be nervous of men to begin with but soon comes round. He can be strong on the lead when he wants to. He is not a fan of other dogs but will happily walk alongside some. He does not like cats and can be homed with children over the age of 7 years old

They were unable to meet his needs and did not have enough time for him.Upon arrival at the shelter Louie was very anxious and untrusting of new people. It has taken several months of care and rehabilitation to turn him into the wonderful boy he has now become (he is a firm favourite amongst the kennel staff).Louie is a very intelligent, determined boy who knows what he wants and when he wants it! He loves to play and a roll in the long grass, he loves water and enjoys the paddling pool. He has a massive toy box in his kennel and spends his day choosing different toys.He is also an incredibly sensitive boy. Louie doesn’t like loud noises, wind or heavy rain. He will flinch at sudden movements and new situations can really worry him. He accepts handling really well from the people he trusts but takes a while to warm to new people. Out and about Louie will ignore everything else that is going on (dogs and people) but does not like it if anyone invades his personal space.Louie is housetrained and knows his name, sit, paw, down, come, speak and leave on command. He mostly walks well on the lead unless he knows he is going somewhere exciting.
