Meeka

Meeka is a sensitive and gentle Saluki cross who is looking for patient and caring owners who can allow Meeka to grow in confidence at her own pace. She is currently based at Battersea Old Windsor. Meeka enjoys calm, relaxed walks alongside other dogs who are happy to do their own thing. As she is still finding her confidence around other dogs, she can get worried by dogs who are too interactive or pushy with their interactions. We feel Meeka could potentially live with a calm, independent dog, as we have seen that having a steady canine companion helps to boost her confidence when out and about. Any resident dog would need to have a gentle nature and be respectful of her space. Meeka can sometimes find walks a little overwhelming and may occasionally stop and take things at her own pace. To help her build confidence, she would benefit from shorter, regular walks along familiar routes before gradually exploring further afield.
