Ozzy

Ozzy is looking for a special home – originally adopted from us and sadly returned, he needs patient owners willing to help him with some anxiety and trauma around handling. Ozzy is a friendly and affectionate boy, who loves being out and about with the people he knows and trusts. He lacks confidence around other dogs, which can sometimes cause him to react out of fear. This is something new owners would need to work on with the centre’s support and guidance. In the home environment, he has shown that he is worried about some handling (particularly feet and legs) so a hands off approach, with lots of positive reinforcement will help him to become happier. We also believe Ozzy to have a condition called sleep startle. This means he can react badly if surprised or woken suddenly. For this reason Ozzy may benefit from having his own crate or safe space to sleep in, away from the risk of being disturbed. Ozzy really is a super little dog, and so deserves the opportunity for a fresh start. ...
