Are you right for Peggy?Peggy is a tiny little 1-year-5-month-old miniature smooth-haired Dachshund with a big love for her people. She can be shy when you first meet her, but she warms up quickly. Peggy is wonderfully affectionate and people-orientated, happiest tucked in close beside you or perched on your lap for a cuddle. She’s also absolutely fine being picked up and carried, and while she can be a little shaky at times when she’s unsure, she settles with reassurance and a calm, steady routine.At home Peggy is more of a “sit with you” girl than a toy lover. She’ll follow you around the house and choose a spot right near you, and she sleeps nicely in her dog bed in the bedroom. In the early morning she may politely ask to hop onto the bed for an extra snooze, but she’s not overly persistent when redirected back to her own bed.
