Reggie

Reggie is a lovely wire-haired dachshund with a dash of terrier who is looking for a calm home where he can relax. He is an intelligent and loving dog who deserves a kind and patient family who can give him the security and love he needs. He is currently in RPSCA kennels after a failed adoption in a household that was too busy and stressful for him and did not understand dachshunds. Reggie was surrendered to the RSPCA originally due to a change of circumstances which meant he was being left for long periods of time. Since his recent return to the RSPCA he has become understandably unsettled and will bark and cry – the disruption he has experienced is likely to be the reason for this and we expect he will settle in a calm environment with a consistent routine. When Reggie was younger he was attacked by an X-L Bully and this has left him understandably wary of other dogs, although he will happily walk on lead and ignores them.
