Sally came to us last year as she had an altercation with the other dog in the home and the owners thought having her put to sleep was the only option. Luckily she ended up coming to us for rehabilitation as she was so young she didn’t deserve to die. Kennel staff have become very fond of Sally and she’s really begun to shine since coming to us. When Sally first arrived with us, she was unapproachable and absolutely terrified. She would kennel guard, snap and shake in fear. After an hour or so she started warming up to the team, rolling on her back for belly rubs and her puppy like behaviour started to show. She quickly built bonds with people in the team and we really saw a different side to her. Don’t let this put you off – as once Sally knows you she is the most affectionate and loving girl ever. Sally needs a home with no children. As she’s so nervous she can panic when put into difficult situations. She can still occasionally guard but this is only ever over food, and a lot of the...
