Sam is not a dog who will be fulfilled by repetitive play alone. While he will happily chase a tennis ball, this type of activity will not meet his needs or help him settle. He is good at disengaging from chase play by himself, and his adopters will need to understand how to channel his energy through a range of appropriate physical and mental outlets to help him feel satisfied and balanced.Breed-experienced owners would be ideal, particularly those who understand the importance of structured activity, enrichment and rest, rather than relying solely on high-arousal games to manage behaviour.Sam can be nervous with handling, especially when it is more formal or restrictive.
