Sky

Sky is an outrageously beautiful little Poodle cross who has come into our care from a breeder in search of a new start. When she first arrived, she was absolutely petrified of humans and would hide at the back of her kennel, which quickly became her safe space. She would only eat if she was shut in the back, and getting close enough to touch her felt impossible. Thankfully, with time, patience and plenty of reassurance, Sky has really started to come out of her shell. Sky is still nervous, particularly around new people, but she has made some wonderful progress. She now has a trusted person who she allows to stroke, cuddle and even pick her up. This is a huge step for such a frightened little girl and shows just how much she is beginning to understand that people can be kind and gentle.
