Susie can be quite worried in new or stressful situations so can take a little time for her personality to shine through. Once she knows and trusts you, she is affectionate and enjoys being close to her favourite people. We expect she will become much more confident once she has the time and space to settle into a home of her own. Susie enjoys gentle sniffy walks and naturally checks in with her handler. She can be startled by noises, movement and busy environments, so her new family will need to help her build confidence gradually and avoid overwhelming her. She is looking for an adult-only home with an experienced family who understands small, sensitive dogs and is confident reading their body language. Susie may be cautious with visitors and changes to her routine, so she will benefit from a quiet home, predictable routine and gentle introductions to new people.
