Ureka

Ureka has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. When she first arrived she was an incredibly worried little girl who found the transition into rescue life very overwhelming. She struggled to settle in the kennel environment and, when anxious, could spin in her kennel. To help her, she spent time in one of our quieter offices with another dog for company, where she did not show any spinning but still found it difficult to relax. Ureka has now moved to a wonderful foster home and is getting to experience home life for the first time ever. We are very pleased to say that there has been no spinning during her time in a home environment. It may be that she found the kennel environment particularly difficult, although her adopters will need to be aware that this behaviour could potentially resurface if she becomes very worried or overwhelmed in her new home. Ureka will be looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home with adopters who have experience with scared ex-breeding dog...
