Are you right for Xander?Xander can live with upper primary school‑age children or older. While he’s friendly when meeting other dogs, he would benefit from ongoing socialisation and is best placed as the only dog in the home. He cannot live with cats but could live alongside small pets if they are safely separated. Xander should be given the opportunity to gradually build up his time alone, and as a strong boy, he will need adopters who are confident handling a larger dog. He’ll thrive with a family who can offer him structure, patience, and plenty of love.
