TRUFA is a Spanish setter (so smaller than the English version) and was being held in a quite horrific hunter’s compound with her friend REINA. They were stressed, unfed and unloved. She is now in a foster home near Boston, Lincolnshire and loving life. TRUFA is a fun, loving, long legged beauty. She loves freedom zoomies, people and food. She is good with other dogs but isn't fussed with play or being with them. She is strong willed, some may say stubborn, but is food driven so training is progressing. She does like to be with you. If she is an only dog, she will need to be with someone who is around most of the day. She can be quite noisy when left (barking), but does settle. She also eats her food (or could say inhales) then will try and steal everyone else's. This is improving with guidance. She doesn't really understand play ...especially bitey face, that’s very alien to her, but she does love zoomies. She chases squirrels and birds and has shown interest in a cat on the fence in the foster home - so no to cats/furries/ poultry. She is a very people orientated girl, who likes to be in human company and a darn good cuddle. She is very food driven and will steal food from the worktop given chance. She is very slim and regular small meals have been given to try and build her up and get her used to being fed regularly. Someone with HPR or specifically setter experience would be ideal. She has the next 6/7 years ahead of her to live the life that she should have always had. TRUFA is microchipped, vaccinated, spayed, had regular parasite treatments and a Spanish Passport.
