We are a small, volunteer-run dog rescue based in rural Lincolnshire, working tirelessly around the clock to support dogs and their families. Unlike many rescues, we very rarely use kennels—our dogs live as family pets in home environments while we carefully assess their needs and find the right forever homes. Every adoption includes thorough checks and full rescue back-up (RBU), ensuring lifelong support for both the dog and adopter. Dogs leave us neutered (or with a neuter contract if too young), fully vaccinated, flea-treated, and wormed. Leicester Animal Aid is an independent animal rescue charity dedicated to helping dogs and cats find happy, responsible homes. Each year, the charity cares for around 300 animals that are lost, abandoned, neglected, or relinquished, providing veterinary care, rehabilitation, and individual attention to ensure the right match for every pet. Alongside rescue and rehoming, Leicester Animal Aid offers long-term support to adopters and runs a Community Pet Support Scheme to help elderly, disabled, and housebound owners care for their pets. Founded in the 1950s by animal welfare pioneer Dorothea Farndon, the charity has grown into a professional, well-established centre while remaining committed to its original mission of compassion, positive care, and lifelong support for pets and people.

Leicester Animal Rescue is dedicated to providing dogs and cats with a long-term, permanent home where they can feel safe, loved, and secure. Based at the Fairwinds Shelter, the rescue takes in healthy cats and dogs, carrying out temperament checks and reviewing medical and vaccination records before acceptance. Animals in their care are given the stability and attention they need while waiting for the right forever home. Working in partnership with trusted local rescues, the organisation ensures dogs receive care, socialisation and rehabilitation before travelling to the UK. Dogs are rehomed nationwide with thorough home checks and ongoing support provided to fosterers and adopters. By fostering or adopting, supporters directly enable the charity to rescue and help even more dogs still waiting for their second chance.
