Leicestershire’s mix of towns, villages and countryside makes it suitable for a wide variety of rescue dogs. Dogs rehomed in the county are often matched with families, couples or individuals seeking long-term companionship. Many rescues covering Leicestershire place importance on matching dogs to daily routines and home environments rather than speed of adoption. Local adoption helps ensure dogs are placed into homes where they can thrive.

Ajay is an ex racing greyhound which means he has not been in a home, therefore, may not be house trained. He can be homed with children over the age of 10 years old and seems fine with other dogs but can’t be homed with small furries. He walks well on a lead and loves a soft toy to play with

Are you right for Bean?Sweet Bean is a gentle soul looking for a home where he can be the only pet and where everyone is over the age of 15 years old. He prefers the quieter life so would like a quiet home with not too much going on. He must have a secure garden and would prefer not being left home alone until he’s fully settled in.

Are you right for Ben?Ben and Pip are looking for a home together as Ben feels more confident with Pip by his side. They would prefer a quieter area and need to be the only dogs in the home, however would enjoy socialising out on walks.

Are you right for Bernard?Bernard is looking for a family that are happy to show him the ropes of home life and help with all his basic training. He’s a sweet boy and could live with sensible children aged 8+. Due to having no previous history for Bernard we’re unsure how well he’ll settle alone in the home, so ideally a family around during the day would be perfect.

Are you right for Betty spaghetti?Betty is 6 years old but is still a young pup at heart. She is looking for an adult only home with no other pets and a secure, private garden. A house set back from the road in a quieter area/street is a must. She has come on leaps and bounds with her dog socialisation, but access to quiet walks will be required initially, especially while she finds her paws in her new home. She would be perfect for anyone that works from home or anyone that needs to nip to the office for a few hours a day. as she has the potential to be left a full working day once settled in her new home.

Bodi is looking for a new home. He is just over 2 years of age and currently lives in Leicestershire but can be rehomed in a different part of the country. Bodi was rescued from Macedonia as a puppy by another Rescue and at 6 months old was adopted by a family. Bodi is a large active strong boy who weighs approximately 27 kg and is the size of a Labrador but with longer legs. He is a nervous boy and because of this he can be reactive to other dogs on walks but is better on a longer lead where he is it less restricted. He is also nervous with visitors to the house he does not know sometimes leading him to snap. He is being rehomed because he has proved to be too strong for the family who adopted him. They also have 2 cats and he has proved to be not cat friendly. We are looking for an adopter who is physically fit and has previous experience of working with a large reactive dog. He should not be rehomed with cats or children but may benefit from living with a confident resident dog. A semi rural location would be preferable. We are sure that with the right adopter who has the knowledge and experience he could become a better version of himself. To adopt this big, beautiful dog please contact us.
